Training Seminars
Canvas Course
Asynchronous course for anyone looking to establish or improve household cleaning efforts
Problem: Busy households can lead to messiness and sickness if no cleaning plan is in place. While several cleaning plans are available online, the search for the right one can be overwhelming and the frustration of the process can lend itself to the desire to further procrastinate.
Solution: Explain some not-so-well-known reasons for the importance of establishing a clean household and develop a personalized plan that works for the participant.
Following the Backward Design instructional model, this course was designed with the end in mind, identifying the need for a clean space and incorporating useful activities to achieve the desired state. Largely through the use of andragogical and connectivism theories, this module provides the opportunity to create a comprehensive individualized plan that will help meet personal goals.
Result: Course completers will not only have determined the cleaning methods that work best for them; they will also have created a personalized visual aid that can be posted at home and help keep the cleaning schedule on track.
Canvas Course
Hybrid training to designed to reignite the desire to complete workplace responsibilities per established guidelines
Course delivered in live session with Angelique
Problem: While there's no "I" in team, employees need to remember that there is an "m" and an "e" that can impact the bottom line. Burnout in the workplace can lead to daily frustration and can result in an uncomfortable and unproductive work environment if the root causes aren't addressed.
Solution: Review the expectation of professionalism in the workplace and what it entails, along with the explanation of individual roles in the office and the process to respectfully request solutions to issues as they occur.
In alignment with the Kirkpatrick Model, this hybrid course was designed to improve upon the communication and problem-solving skills of the Academic Advising and Counseling Unit (AACU). Upon the conclusion of the course, management will provide the opportunity for staff members to provide reactions and submit objective feedback for continuous AACU improvement.
Result: Employees will have the opportunity to directly influence the resolution of workplace issues in a non-combative format, allowing upper management the opportunity to carefully consider which proposals may work best for the office.
